A new commuter train
The introduction of the new commuter train for Kintetsu Railway is planned for the first time in more than 20 years. Mr. Kawanishi, the president of ICHIBANSEN, was born in near Yuzaki Station, Nara Prefecture and grew up watching the Kintetsu train since childhood. With the declining birthrate and aging population at Osaka and Nara around the Kintetsu line area, it is necessary for creating new value and concept for a new commuter train.
We have been studying the interior and exterior design with Kintetsu Railway company and Kiinki Sharyo company from the basic initial concept stage to the concrete design stage. We have proposed a design concept of "everyday's gorgeousness" with the aim of creating a train that looks like fun clothes that you will never get tired of wearing.
We are currently working on detailed design. We hope that this new commuter train will contribute to the creation of a new life along the Kintetsu line for my hometown.
