Welcome to Filand (Hirado's old name)

光と風の国へ、ようこそ。

Japanese famous author Ryotaro SHIBA's "Kaido wo Yuku, On the Highways: A Dutch Journey," Nagasaki was "the only light that shone into Japan, like a dark box." How did the 17th-century people of Hirado feel when they experienced the light and wind from the outside, even though it was only for a short period? Imagine the light and wind of old Hirado, respect the people, and travel as if you were living there now. We designed a space that transcends time and space.
Albergo Diffuso is not a one hotel with all the functions in one building, but a "city-wide lodging facility" where you can sleep, eat, drink, etc., scattered throughout the central city of Hirado. We aim to create a nostalgic yet new Hirado city that is fun to walk around. It is a space that combines nostalgia for a glorious era with safety and comfort, such as earthquake resistance and insulation performance.
The Terrace is a rice storehouse built in the Edo period over 200 years ago, which has been renovated into a general reception and accommodation building. The guest rooms have been made of beams and pillars made from black pine trees that are over 200 years old, while also allowing light and breezes to pass through. The exterior walls have been restored to specifications close to those of the Edo period. Your journey to Hirado begins here.
Jinbei Residence is a lodging facility that can be rented as a whole house on the former home grounds of a high-ranking samurai of the Hirado domain. The stone walls remain as they were in the Edo period, and the main building is a renovated wooden house built in the Showa period. You can see the big bridge and the sea from the living room and the tatami room. There used to be a moon-viewing house in the garden, but it has been replaced with a sauna for a more modern look.

In addition, there are restaurants and bars such as "Onchan" and "Chobotei" scattered throughout the city. Albergo Diffuso's efforts will continue to expand. The future of Hirado begins with dialogue with you, who travel as if you were living there. Please enjoy your stay.

司馬遼太郎先生の「街道をゆくオランダ紀行」によると長崎は「暗箱のような日本に射し込んでいた唯一の外光」だそうです。僅かな期間でしたが、当時の平戸の人々はどんな気持ちで外の光と風に触れたのでしょうか。その古き平戸の光と風を想像し、人々を尊び、いま住むように旅をする。時空を超えた空間を私たちは地域の皆さまと共に設計・デザインしました。

ひとつの建物にすべての機能が備わったホテルではない、寝る・食べる・飲む等が平戸市中心市街地に点在する「街まるごと宿泊施設」がアルベルゴ（宿泊施設）ディフーゾ（分散した）です。歩いて楽しい、懐かしくて新しい平戸の街を目指します。

かつて輝いていた時代のノスタルジーと、耐震性・断熱性能など安全・快適性を両立させた空間です。

The 曜（テラス）は、200年以上前の江戸時代に建てられた米蔵を総合受付と宿泊棟（山・海）に改修しました。樹齢200年を超える黒松の梁・柱を活かした客室にしつつ、光と風が抜けるように配慮しています。外壁は江戸時代当時に近い仕様に復元しました。平戸の旅はここから始まります。

甚兵衛邸は平戸藩上級武士の元自邸敷地をそのまま一棟ごと貸切できる宿泊施設です。石垣は江戸時代当時のまま、建物本体は昭和時代に建てられた木造住宅を改修しました。リビング・座敷からは平戸大橋・平戸瀬戸が望めます。かつて庭に月見櫓があったそうですが、現代らしく蒸し風呂（サウナ）に置き換えました。

ほか、「おんちゃん」「眺望亭」などレストラン・バーが市街地に点在しています。今後もアルベルゴディフーゾの取り組みは拡大します。歩くスピードで楽しめる街、一期一会の出会いと会話が楽しめる空間を地域の皆さまと共に広げてまいります。未来の平戸は、住むように旅をする皆さまとの対話から始まります。ごゆっくりとお過ごしください。
